Not in the right state of mind

18 Aug

Yesterday was a total torment. When I woke up in the morning, I realised something wasn’t right already but I just went on with it because I had the thinking that I’ll feel better soon. Every time I’ve a cold, I would think that it’s nose allergy, which usually is. Well, for yesterday, it wasn’t.

In school, I felt a little unwell but hell yeah, ignored it and did my work till late afternoon. I was really angry for half the time there. In the end when I was on my way home, I felt dizzy. I thought it was nothing, high blood pressure when you’re too mad.

When I reached home, I watched my temperature increase. Before I bathe, it was 37.2 degrees. Far from a fever, I was relieved. Then after I bathe, the temperature started crawling up. 37.6 degrees. A little fever. I thought it wasn’t so bad. Took a little nap and told my mum about it. Took panadol and yeah. Then it started to get worse when I realised my temperature hit 38 degrees. It already broke my highest record. The highest temperature I had was 37.9 degrees.

My mum finally decided that I should go visit the doctor. Went to consult the doctor at Sun Plaza. It was so packed and I realised why doctors are earning so much. Something that was quite hilarious that happened on the way. My mum called my dad and said “Your kid is sick. I taking her to the doctor.” In chinese, her and him sounds alike so my dad first assumption is my brother being sick. I don’t get sick easily, at least not a fever. The last time I had a fever was in Secondary 4 I think. When major exams were approaching. There’s this trend already.

It was quite scary. I almost thought that I had h1n1 when I saw paramedics carrying my neighbor out of her house on a stretcher. Later we found out that she was experiencing back pain and it wasn’t h1n1. So I guess I was too paranoid. When it was finally my turn after waiting for an entire hour, the doctor assured me that I was fine. It was just a normal fever. What occurred to me was how calm the doctors are. It’s weird really. 38.3 degrees was what he recorded but he showed no signs of anxiety at all.

When I reached home, I had my dinner at 11pm, not forgetting to mention that I had my lunch at 5pm. Sleep for that night wasn’t an enjoyable one. I didn’t even sleep a wink I guess. I started vomiting at 2am and it continued on till the morning. I nearly wanted to sleep beside the toilet bowl since it’s faster. I was not in the right state of mind already. A total of 6 times I vomitted.

My mum was worried sick and brought me to the doctor again. We assumed that perhaps I was allergic to the medicine. Oh well, the doctor say nah. It’s not because of that. Anyways, the “big” thing was that I saw Mr Phang in the same clinic as me. I guess he was sick too. Got an MC like me and didn’t go to school. The funny thing was that the doctor was so fascinated by us -.- A clerk and Mr Phang in YJ visited him before me which means I was the third one and it’s only in the morning. I guess YJ people are under a lot of stress huh.

Reached home had lots of naps. Woke up, ate my dose of medicine dutifully and went off to sleep. Now, I’m fine already. A little dizzy perhaps. But I hope I can recover by tomorrow. It wouldn’t be good to miss my prelims ):

Anyways, I’ve ordered G-Dragon’s album! I can’t wait to get my hands on it which is 1 month later. I wonder if I would survive anyways. Okay, gotta go hit the books.

Lastly, sharing with you guys G-Dragon’s new song “HeartBreaker”

Happy birthday G-Dragon! (:
