Status:

Ongoing.

Description:

In the past few days, a mystery person has been placing this orange slim rectangular booklet into Jolene Lim’s bag. The booklet was found in both Tuesday (August 25, 2009) and Wednesday (August 26,2009). Jolene has been suffering from mental stress due to the book.

Clues:

As it appeared today, it cannot be of a Literature student as Jolene did not make any contact with them. The culprit must have placed the book into her bag before the exam or after, when the students are released in batches to collect their bags. It is done by someone who has noticed that Jolene changed her bag.

Suspects:

Melvin

MingSheng

GuoBin

JiaJie

YangJie (He’s a literature student)

Life, that’s too tough

My dreams, they are everchanging. My determination, always wavering.

Tell me, at the end of the day, what stays the same?

Kuroshitsuji

Yet another obsession. Actually this time, I came across the title in the newspaper. I thought the title sounded cool so I decided to google it and viola~ I’m addicted. It’s a really good manga though the synopsis provided by many websites sounds unappealing but it’s really good. To add on, I’ve seen the artwork once in a blogskin and I couldn’t find the manga that it’s from and well, so now I know where it is from.

Description:

To what extent must a housekeeper do things to be acceptable?

One of the noble families of England, Phantomhive’s butler, Sebastian Michaels, has unquestionably perfect knowledge, manners, talent with materials, martial arts, et cetera: but is also able to serve a 12 year-old master.

Wearing a grey tailcoat, gracefully brewing the world’s strongest red tea, please read on to see how such a perfect butler copes with such a master…

~ Baka-Updates Manga

The reason why this manga is so appealing and kind of should I say different from the rest is because of the butler of course. He’s perfect in everyway, competent in all areas. Not forgetting to add on the other main lead, the Phantomhive Ciel. He’s dark aura and mindset just makes you more interested in this manga. The best thing is the way the story is revealed. Normally, the author would lay out all the cards for you at the start and then the story develops on how the main leads embark on a quest. This manga does the opposite. Through each episodes, it reveal a little about the main lead’s past and makes you more interested through every chapter.

A manga that I would surely recommend! Kuroshitsuji, The Black Butler ~ “For I am a demon and a butler”

Perfection

It’s hilarious but true. Everyone strives for perfection, whether we admit it or not. We always aim to become a better person in all aspects ranging from academics to morally.

Its obvious that in this society, most of us regard looks as an important area we must strive perfection in. The prevalence of the striving cosmetic surgery industry often make us rethink if this world is advancing in the correct direction. Sadly though, we often do not practice what we preach. When we are young, we are taught to be morally upright and always place others before us.

In this society of ours, it seems that the drive to looking perfect is because of those comments we hear from others every single day. Sometimes we try really hard to ignore them but we know that they do affect us. Unknowingly, we change. When just one person says that your new bottle for instance doesn’t suit you, the next day we’ll be seen without that anymore. And when others ask about it, we’ll give an excuse to covering it up. We pretend that we aren’t affected and say that it’s spoilt or what so ever.

Everyone is affected to a different degree. Some may feel that this is exaggerated but I’ve observed that this isn’t a false accusation. Perhaps some choose to ignore it on the surface but the person just cannot forget the comment that the particular person said. Then we hope others would praise us about it instead. But that, just shows how much we care about what others said and how people view us and regard us in their perspectives.

Many a times, we are too affected by how people view us and in the end lose ourselves while changing. Because we keep thinking about how others would see us, we keep changing to suit their tastes. In the end, we become desperate because no matter how much we change, we can never become perfect. In the sense that we cannot please everyone. Everyone is different, we like somethings and detest others. So it’s impossible to make everyone have a good impression of you.

No matter how hard you try, that is just quite the impossible. And that perhaps is the reason why in this world, no one have achieved that “perfect” level yet. But some argue that if we’re all perfect, wouldn’t that just makes us all the same? The point is nobody have a yardstick to measure perfectness. What does being “perfect” actually mean anyway?

Everyone is bound to have some flaws somehow. But these flaws can be turned into something appealing depending on how you view it. Something that digust one could possibly attract the other. On that thought, I often remind myself to act according to my wishes, do not be easily influenced by others though it’s really difficult. Never get so affected to change and in the end you lose yourself.

There’s not much sense actually. Because when you try to please others too much, you’re the one suffering. Instead just be yourself and for whoever that loves you for who you are, treasure them. For the others, let time change their minds.

PONYO

I have to admit that these few days, I haven’t been blogging properly. In other words, I wasn’t really paying attention to what I’m blogging actually and what I’ve already planned to blog wasn’t typed out. Somehow I get distracted in the well and *poof* goes the intended post.

So anyways, here’s what left (I meant what I was supposed to blog but didn’t)

Introducing ~ *drumrolls*

THE ONCE OWNED BY JOLENE BUT IS NOW OWNED BY JEANNETTE’s

PONYO!

Need a new wrist rest that’s cute and comfy?

Need a new mouse that can make you smile anytime?

Need a super-fish?

You’re needing, PONYO~!

Okay fine, that was all made up by me. This was supposed to be Jeannette’s birthday present that was late by one whole month from Jolene. Shouldn’t say that because my gift is still not ready yet >< I think at the end of the year, it will become a christmas present for everyone instead :P

So on this faithful day, which was last monday (I think), Jolene was really proud and showed it off to me. She sew the letter on by herself and was telling me her efforts and all. After that during the computing session, this little fish was staring at me upside down stuck in Jeannette’s bag. I mean, it was staring at me for the entire session! Every time I tried to focus on my work, I feel something looking at me. Take note, I said something. LOL :X

So anyways, I started playing with it for the whole computing session and realised it can serve many uses. Most of the ideas were inspiried by CheeWee. At least the mouse one was. Actually how the idea came about was because MingSheng took my the mouse that I was using, then I had to stare at the screen and wait for the mouse. In the end I ranted about needing a mouse and CheeWee suggested I could use it. I mean, it looked like a mouse, even a cool one. The buttons are the left and right eyes :X LOL. We were having so much fun with it.

When I was playing around, I realised that it looked cuter like this when I press the neck slightly. Jeannette and Jolene complained that I was bullying it. Oh well ~~ I wasn’t! :X The eyes looked like it was popping out or something around that line.

In the end, we all agreed that it looked like superman. I mean super-fish. It looks cuter like this, flying around. Also, Jolene started acting out this mini play of hers and told me her sad it was for this fish to leave her house. She even went on saying that it was with her for the past month where Jeannette got a shock and I rightly pointed out that Jolene was too lazy to sew the ‘S’ on. Oh anyways, if you have no idea what the ‘S’ stands for, it means Squeaky.

Actually, the name originated from me, as in I gave Jeannette that name but I couldn’t really remember why :X I think the main reason is that she was always eating. Oh well, then we continued talking and I started acting out another play. I told Jeannette to take good care of it and make sure it doesn’t leave her room at night because it might go out and haunt Jolene while whimpering “My stomach, it hurts ~~”. LOL. That’s what you get from a horror flick fan :X Everything can be turned into something scary.

Yeah, that’s about it, the ponyo story. Another thing to mention, I love my X-Mini! And if you have no idea what I’m talking about,

X-Mini Capsule Speakers

Bought it for 60 bucks at Challenger. Wanted a speaker for my IPod Touch for SO LONG and I finally got it. It’s really worth it, come in three colours black white and red. I guess I have to admit that my brother’s black ones look nicer but I shall stay happy with mine. It’s really small and portable. It’s battery span is really long too so if anyone is looking for speakers, this is a good choice :D

Oh well, and I bought new pairs of shorts from Cotton On today. I wanted to buy a skirt though but none caught my eye. Yeah, that’s about it.

Going off to sleep right now. And am feeling SO GUILTY for not studying properly for the past several days. Tomorrow, I’m gona hit the books :D
