I wonder if people get disappointed when they load my blog page and sees the same post time and time and again. If you did, it’s time to get over that because a new post(this) is coming up! Actually I have to admit that every time I just publish a post, it actually takes a long time for me to recall and type it all out so its starting to get a little on my nerves here and there which gradually developed into a blogging phobia which includes the loading time and the much effort needed to upload the pictures one by one.

Of course, there’s also other reasons for my absence around here which my close friends already know it! Yupp, I’ve been back to my old ways :O Mapling! And I realised it’s been a long time since I’ve tweeted as well. Ah, did I mention that I’ve dyed my hair in a chestnut brown colour? First time I dyed it and am pretty pleased with it. It makes me look less like a kid! Absolutely love that point there. Ah, and I got a camera for my birthday! Yes, the one that Avril Lavigne is promoting, Canon Ixus 200 IS (:

Well, lets get to the main point of this post. We’re out to celebrate Joyce’s birthday!

Reached Cityhall at around 5.15pm. As usual many of us were late and well, there was something troubling me the whole night which was my worn out shoes! I need to get new shoes soon and am getting them tomorrow!

After deciding for long, we decided to go to Changing Appetites and doing off with our original choice, Yuki Yaki which proved to be too expensive for our pockets. Surprise surprise when I stepped in. Saw Jennifer in the crew shirt. Guess she followed Melvin’s footsteps huh.

As our stomachs were already grumbling for long, we decided to quickly make our order and chat while waiting. YiLing filled us in with her latest trip to HongKong and Taiwan. One of the incidents that were seriously memorable to her was when she was buying shoes in Taiwan. As she was in a hurry, she just told the shopkeeper that she wanted the same shoe but different colours. She didn’t check till she reached her friend’s apartment in HongKong. Thats when she realised that one pair were of the same side! Do you even call it a pair? LOL. But its seriously blur of her and thank god it was only 8 Singapore dollars. She couldn’t possibly fly back to Taiwan to ask for a change then.

Then Mindy and Yx started to chat with each other ACROSS yl which made her really frustrated. She started to move her head and others to prevent them from chatting without involving her inside. It proved as a failure as Yx and Mindy seemed no hint of giving up so YL started to chat with us (Joyce, Sharine and me) who were across the table. In the end she couldn’t hear what we were saying and started raising her voice. The whole restaurant was filled with our voices

When food finally came, we succumbed to our hunger and attacked the food in top notched speed. Both yl and I ordered Honey BBQ ribs which was really tasty except for the fact that we couldn’t taste the honey anywhere. LOL. And well, I guess I still have to sharpen my skills on using the knife and fork which turned out to be a chore when I was trying to eat the deliciously looking ribs in front of me. I gave up in the end and Sharine started to help me. She was obviously more skilled than me and sliced them in a couple of minutes. Finally I could eat my dinner in peace. Yx commented that this was a deficit meal for me because I had to spend more energy to try to eat the food which was quite true since ribs have little meat.

Yx and Sharine ordered … Chicken. I can’t remember its full name -.- Oh well but they were shocked at how small the serving was. They also didn’t really enjoy the cheese and mango mix as it was kind of .. difficult for their tastebuds to accept. Couldn’t remember what Mindy and Joyce ordered

Sharine and I started to get bored and fiddled around with Joyce’s camera phone. It was so fun snapping pictures of them being so engrossed in their conversations. Yx and Mindy were hyped up chatting about maple while Joyce joined in the conversation. Not sure how yl went in

After that we paid for our bill and walked around MS. AHH! I saw the teddy stuff toy that Jaslyn caught. It was so cute. I seriously wanted one but I guess I couldn’t take the risk of trying it :l Luck wasn’t on our side when yl, yx, joyce and mindy tried it out. We could only bade goodbyes to the cute soft toys locked in the transparent containers.

We wanted to play pool after that but seems like all the tables were taken up so we went around arcade to play some games. Yx and Joyce, the avid players were so happy because it has been a long time since they could actually land their hands on a game machine. They tried out this game which was meant to test the compatibility of couples which was pretty hilarious. The screen was huge. Yl, Sharine and I peered from outside the machine while Mindy squeezed in with Joyce and Yx who were sitting inside. While playing, yl, mindy and I were shouting at all the climax periods which was pretty hilarious as we were not the ones playing. The participants themselves were calm and engrossed in the game.

It seems that air rifle didn’t help Joyce out. Her accuracy were off limits! And the result was ‘Classmates’. I was wondering what would happen if a couple went to try it out and didn’t get the result that they wanted. Would a mere game result in their breakup? Probably.

Then we went off to Starbucks to rest our legs and chatted longer. Yx dozed off in the comfy chair. When we finally left, it was reaching 11pm and many people were on their way home. We went to Marina Bay mrt station in the promise of getting seats as we were all exhausted. Luckily our hopes didn’t prove in vain and we caught a train with seats enough for all of us. Reached home around 11 near midnight.

A fun day out (:
