It’s been the second day since I’ve started my job and there’s only 3 more days left. I have to say that I’m starting to like the job better. Yesterday was a complete mess with all the new kids that weren’t sure of what to do as they were new to the childcare like me. I was pretty messed up. I was confused myself and the kids were asking me questions that I had no idea how to answer. It’s actually quite hilarious when I think about it.

I’m a kid at home and at there, I’m someone to guide them along and take care of them. If you would ask my parents, they would probably exclaim that I can’t even take care of myself! Well, that’s true but I realised that children nowadays are seriously different from how we were in the past. Several things still haven’t changed though. Super energetic, full of curiosity and HEAVY BAGS! It makes me sigh every time I see them struggling to carry such a big bag full of textbooks. And I realised that actually our bags shed a lot of weight as we grow up. Look at secondary school. It gets lighter compared to primary school. When we get to JC or Poly, it’s even more obvious.

Many things and thoughts changed after I got the job. I guess kids ARE likeable. I remember most of their names by now. Oh yeah, just to mention I’m actually taking the primary ones. They are some cry babies here and there. Worried parents hoping that their children get enough nutrition from the food we’re providing and they do not neglect their homework. They are really playful but when you look at them getting happy at the little things, it easily makes you smile. Many a times we get worried about problems around us and we forgot that in life, it is important to look at the bright side.

Do not ever forget the little things that makes us happy for the world is not made for us to suffer. We can enjoy ourselves as long as there’s balance. We could experience joy and laughter, as if we’re still kids.
