Dilemma
For some reason, I’m NOT tired. JUST KIDDING!
Time passes slower and slower for me during work. I wonder why ): Maybe I’m getting sick of Uniqlo. Maybe I’m not. Who cares. Anyways, I’ve made up my mind to wait till the release of my results (which I hope would not CLASH with my BTT) before I make a choice of whether to continue working there or quit. It totally sucks when you have to make choices. The suckier part? Life is full of them. Damn it all!
Anyways, I realised how much I missed my friends, my clique ): Its been so long since I’ve hanged out with them. Nono. Let me rephrase that. It should be since I’ve SEEN them. Oh, and reality check. It’s been almost 3 weeks since I’ve joined Uniqlo. Scary. No wonder people say time would just pass faster when you’re older. I’m already feeling old with the 17-ers in my workplace. The entire place is filled with them. In and out, up and down.
Okay. I have absolutely no idea why this is becoming a lengthy post. Ah. Seriously. I do know why. It’s because I’m so so so tired that my brain neurons have no ability to even communicate with each other. No electricity, nothing.
Before I go off and then lament about forgetting to type this and that, let me recall what happened during work today~
The first duty I had in the afternoon was CASHIER! Guess what? I made a mistake AGAIN. YES! AGAINNNN!!!! How blur can I get? Thank goodness God was by my side. And maybe lady luck too. Seriously, I have to thank all the Gods up there, whoever you are, thank you for watching over me. First reason, the person was a student and did NOT make a big fuss out of everything. Oh wait. I forgot to explain how it really happened. Okay so I, being a “careful” person went to scan one item TWICE. So in the end the person paid twice the amount of money for that SINGLE item. Luckily she realised it in time and told me about it. I was so apologetic. Couldn’t believe I made such a major mistake. And when I sincerely apologized, she shrugged it off like it was NOT A PROBLEM. OMG. How could such a saint exist? So I told her to wait for awhile and was preparing myself for a huge scolding. The second better thing that happened, Saifuudin (forgot the spelling) was just THERE. OMG. YES! So he helped me without a hitch. Solved the problem with coolness and suave. Returned the customer the correct change with NO HICCUPS, nothing! He didn’t even reprimand me for whatever I did. I know I was wrong but he didn’t make a big fuss. Nope. I guess he realised I already knew I was wrong and all and decided to save the scolding. THANK YOU!
After my scary cashier business, I had lunch with Jas and Minji. Finally, BURGERKING. 10% staff discount and their promotion granted Minji and I a fulling meal
$5.40 provided us with a double cheese burger, chicken tenders, fries and a drink! How good is that? Jas got herself a student meal which she regretted in the end when she saw our tray. Chatted over lunch and got to know each other better.
Then we left Burger King and went back to Uniqlo. Innerwear just gets better! I mean REALLY. Not sarcastic or anything. I packaged all the loose and untidy items, dressed mannequins and got the front ticket for a live prank show. Apparently, there was this customer who went to prank my supervisor, SIMON. LOL. Hilarious. The lady is so cute. She really knows how to strut her stuff. Her acting is better than those Hollywood actresses. At first it all happened with her trying out clothes. In Uniqlo, you have to remove your footwear before you enter the “cubicle”. So she did. And when she came out, she gave herself a shock because she realised her shoes were missing. The point was that she bought new shoes and she forgot that she changed them beforehand. So she thought that they were “changed”. When she realised it, she thought that she could use it as a prank so that she could see the first hand reaction from our supervisor. It turned out that Simon was pretty calm and solved the problem with haste. But of course, it still brightened up the tired atmosphere around us. That was a really good gag. Love the lady. Welcome back any time! (:
Before my last shift came, I had a short break. That granted me to come to know of a cheap deal. Chelsea got this Polaroid camera for only 145 bucks and its really WORTH IT. The pictures were good. Though the film is expensive, I still think she got a good deal. Had fun with my colleagues, taking photos and stuff. Ah. And I really can’t handle polaroid cameras well. Even Dominic pointed that out. Chelsea is really SO NICE. She retorted “Polaroids are meant to be uneven” to Dominic when he started to make fun of my photo taking skills. Whee~ Love her!
Last shift of Women’s middle ended at 10pm. I was actually stationed there but there was not a single soul nor FLY. So I went to the fitting room to help JAY-SON (accentuated for a purpose) pack the clothes. I think I can do factory work already. I think Uniqlo is really smart. They save a lot of money and time for hiring staff. The point is that all the staff can do the tasks given. There’s no specific staff for this task or that. We all have to know packaging, greeting, folding, cashiering and last of all, alterations. Yes. All your altered jeans are done by our Uniqlo staff (: Cool yeah?
We cleaned up the store, folded lots of clothes all over and learnt korean from Minji and Chelsea
After that I was accompanied by lots of others on the train home. A nice way of ending a long and exhausting day. Suddenly, I don’t feel like quitting anymore~
Time to sleep. Ciaoz ^^
