Driving, FAIL!
Mar 29th
Been no idea how many decades and centuries since I’ve blogged! Well, thats only because I realized how screwed up my life is without being able to juggle with work and academics when university life haven’t even STARTED. Admission work has already left my soul detached from my body. I just found out today (lucky its not too late yet) that I may stand a chance to get into a local university and thank god, one of my teachers agreed to help me submit and appraisal which means that I’ll have to do the essay soon which I totally have NO time because today was afternoon shift. I’ll guess I have to do it tomorrow morning and thanks heaps Mr Ho
Anyways, my health status has been pretty bad lately, tagged with a “Infected” word. The flu virus caught me off guard around a couple of days ago and right now I’m feeling a little feverish but I think its my hallucination. Been thinking the whole day if I should take MC but I guess I’ll choose MONEY over HEALTH. Not a wise choice many people will think but I’m sure my colleagues would agree that I should just struggle till 31st which is only a few days away and get a much higher pay compared! (:
Had lunch yesterday with Jas because she changed her schedule with Chelsea which meant that she has the same break time with me. Anyways, today’s work schedule is going to be crazy. Woman front, front then run. I think Uniqlo really wants me to enjoy my off day by resting the whole day at HOME which would not be possible at all because I’ll have to go down to SSDC to settle my driving stuff~
Tidying up after closing was pretty fun with Chelsea. We tidied up the Men’s UTees, Men’s front wagon, change fixtures and arranged tanktops. Sounds like a lot? Okay I lied. The UTees part was actually done before the store closed whereas the wagon we spent like only around 15minutes? Tanktops took only around 20minutes as well so yeah. We spent 45 minutes pushing those “carts” or should I call central fixtures around the shopfloor. Not really AROUND but enough to make us realize that we suck in DRIVING! This is a huge worry for me because I’m going to take up driving lessons soon. Oh no!
Let me explain how the 45minutes were spent. Firstly, we shifted it by ourselves then we realized it ended up in a pretty bad condition. There were collisions with other fixtures. Then after that we realized that they weren’t aligned properly. Hearing the heated up discussion about if the fixtures were in the correct place, Simon came over and gave us tips. Then we tried again and yes, we still failed. So Tsien-Ren who I think couldn’t stand the commotion and how we SUCK in doing that, he came over and help us. In the end, it was pretty much done with us trying to help when he actually done much by himself. LOL. Which means we wasted a lot of time doing something which others just could do in like 5 to 10 minutes. Well, give us credit since we’re freshmen (:
So yeah, the entire day was pretty fun because of the fun and slacky ending which was pretty unexpected. Wouldn’t mind another session of closing up with Chelsea. Bet she’ll brighten up my mood with those comments of hers and retorts of mine!

The world is complex.
Everyday I learn lessons from new events that happen around me and today wasn’t an exemption. Sometimes I wonder why can human beings be such complex creatures that can never be categorize into a group. Is that even possible when there are so many factors that affect us whether psychologically or physically and thus changing the way we react and respond? Yesterday, I borrowed this book from the library, namely “7 personality types”. The book illustrates and explore the 7 different identities: King, Priest, Sage, Scholar, Artisan, Warrior and Server. The purpose of the author writing such a book is to help others identify who they really are and hence develop their potential according to their individual identity.
While I was reading the book, I was amazed by how I could easily identify my friend’s “classes” yet somehow no matter what, some people just doesn’t belong into a category. They ain’t exactly “homeless”. It’s just that their behavior to me seems all mashed up and is not confined to just one particular group as mentioned in the book. At that time, I was wondering if I was able to easily recognize mine and then improve myself. But when I read further, I realized thats almost impossible and to me, human beings are not simplistic creatures. We cannot be defined by just one identity and that is what makes us special. But on the other hand if you look at it, we are then all belonging to a group already isn’t it?
Similar people and their way of thinking. Why do people of the same traits exhibit certain behavior? Amazing and strange at the same time. There’s some many questions in this universe and we can’t possibly solve it all. Its funny when you are living your life, we are living ours but at the same time, we can’t figure out ourselves. And then, how do we even live our lives?
Humans are not explained by only one concept or theory where you study that in mathematics which makes it even more interesting to look at and analyze. There’s no hard facts, none. Instead, there’s a whole new world for us to explore not only others but ourselves. While I was on my job as usual in the afternoon, it just dawned on me. Humans are strange, really strange and unexplainable. Why are the all the rich people educated? And why are not all the educated people rich? The statement just doesn’t hold true anymore when you turn them around.
Another one would be: People that are civilized are educated however those that are educated by not be civilized. If you just sit in a chair and think, you’ll realize that you can churn out so much more of them. So many doubts and questions that are difficult to figure out. And just one line might not be able to fully explain. I guess in life, there are too many factors affecting each and everyone of us. Its like in a prestige school, there will definitely be dropouts. There will be minorities that does not really blend in with the others. They stand out for various reasons and the reason may not only lie within them, but also at others.
Which means that stereotyping would never work because there would bound to be something different about everyone.. which makes everyone similar at the same time.
The world is just complex.
Struggling
Mar 22nd
I wanted to upload photographs but somehow it just doesn’t work!! I think the sites hate me, as in the pictures hosting sites.
Anyways, I’m still busy as ever. It seems that coping with 2 lives, the virtual and the real one is too difficult for me now. So I guess I’ll just have to sacrifice my virtual one, which means less updates on my blog and others! Except Twitter of course, as its an “on the go” thing. Useful tool (:
Okay. Blog again on Tue. I PROMISE!
LAZY!

Well, I realized I learnt several things ever since I started working. For example, today during my break time, I was getting advice from Herman who had already worked 3 months and was happy that he is now a confirmed staff. The question I posed to him was how to endure the long working hours which proved as a problem too to Dominic. The answer that Herman gave was so good that the people that were present which included WeiLing from B3, Dominic and me agreed 100%. The simple way? Get a crush at Uniqlo. That way you’ll anticipate to go work everyday. The second tip was that if your crush quits, change your target to another one. LOL. Super funny. OH. And he bought this really nice cookies from Marketplace. Fourth floor in Orchard Ion. Never went before but will buy it next time. It’s really super good! The chocolate chips were shockingly tasty
First time I didn’t do cashiering. Pretty sad and bored! Quite surprising that there were quite a lot of customers. Maybe it’s the March holidays which I didn’t even know because I’m not schooling now~
Ah, another thing. I laughed for like the entire one hour break all thanks to Cheryl. It started with her mimicking the British accent and I told her she sounded like Ron. Somehow the resemblance was there and it really tickled me. So she continued on ranting that she has no idea why I’m laughing at her but of course still with the accent. Suddenly we started discussing about what would happen if she spoke in that accent to others especially Simon. Perhaps he wouldn’t understand. And another point was that Simon knew that she can’t understand Mandarin but he still kept using it to communicate with her which is hilarious.
Then I suddenly imagined her doing the greeting in that accent. It’s so funny. Recalling that scene, I could even feel the stomach aches we got because we laughed for too long. In the end she was choking on her drink and me on my dinner.
Another funny thing that happened was Valerie telling us about her frustration with the baby room. She was upset that she lost her one litre water bottle and now she had to keep refilling her small bottle which forces her to drink hot water from our pantry. Then she continued saying that she couldn’t use the baby room because she still hasn’t figured out how to open that door. In Ion, we just had to place our palm there, the sensor would automatically detect it and open the door but somehow it didn’t work for all so she gave up complaining that she look like an idiot standing there with her palm on the sensor but the door refusing to open.
Overall, it was quite a slacky and fun day at work (: Hope Wednesday would be as fun as yesterday!
