STUDY!
Aug 29th
And so, I went for my third orientation, Esprimere. Made lots of new friends and our group won in the end! Group 3 rocks! (: Heard lots of good voices and made me think a lot. Well well, sometimes in life, these challenges would motivate us to achieve more. Shall take it in a positive way. Talking about this, its been a long time since I’ve gone KBOX! After all my assignments and tests then!
Today was specially dedicated for studying. Supposed to meet the rest, Shah, Kar Wee and Jin 2pm at TPY. In the end only Kar Wee arrived on time, even earlier still
Blehs. So in the end he waited for the rest of us. When we finally gathered at the meeting place, it was already past 3pm. We couldn’t find a spot at the rooftop garden ): so we left and scouted for empty places to study.
On our way to AMK Macdonalds, I banged my head on the seat in front of me x.x My brother then commented that Kar Wee’s reputation of being a safe driver is in danger. I guess its always important to have a seat belt on.
When we reached AMK Macdonalds. it was full ): Our last resort was Jin’s condo and we got lucky!
Tried to study. STRUGGLE STRUGGLE. After that accompanied Jin to her house to grab BS textbook. When we came back, I found some new photographs in my camera. Seriously, we were gone for quite long and in the meantime, I thought they were diligently studying however this was their yield!

Those were the pictures taken by my brother I think, since he wasn’t in any of the photos. In the picture, we can see my laptop’s friend! HOT PINK laptop
Nice right. Hehehe.
While studying, we got distracted. First off by singing along to the songs played. Kept saying that KBOX is actually quite near and stuff. All of us were itching to sing
Then Shah and Jin took a breather by “touring” around her condo. I was actually pretty surprised that her apartment was quite big because my impression of condos were small rooms!
At 7pm, we went for dinner. Joined Jin on Shah’s van. She sat in the middle and towered over us!

She’s like a HEAD taller than me. I came up to her neck only. She was telling us how uncomfortable she felt being so tall. Her head was only a couple of centimeters from the roof. If Shah purposely went over a hump roughly, he would have created a “sunbathing” hole for his van. LOL.
Dinner was at Long John Silvers. Its been a long time since I’ve stepped into Junction 8. Seems like it has changed a lot! There’s so many shops now. At first we wanted to eat at Pizza Hut but there was a long queue. Shah managed to “charm” (as claimed by him) the person into letting us move up the list I guess. Since the girl called us after like 10 minutes when there was around 7 groups waiting in front of us.
Dad drove my brother and I back after that (: I did quite a number of questions today but obviously still not prepared for the test on Thursday. Guess I’ll have to work harder >< Hwaiting!
I couldn’t think of a title
Aug 27th
Well well. I was just looking through my own posts and couldn’t help reprimanding myself. Just what have I been doing? Almost every post seem so emotional that I myself can’t stand it -.- Reflect, reflect and reflect!
Yesterday was seriously a tiring day. 6 hours of lecture is really tough to endure. It’s actually quite ironic when I thought about it. In JC times, we had timetables that were much crazier. In school by 8am and reach home around 10pm. Our homes almost felt like hotels, a place just for us to sleep and then the cycle continues the next day. Yes, I admit I was also very tired during those days but it certainly was more endurable than now. Right now, its only 3 hours of lecture and I’m starting to get all fidgety. Every time I lose my focus, I’ll tell myself to stop daydreaming and LISTEN. It didn’t work, definitely NOT.
And, yesterday certainly wasn’t an exception. I lost my focus as usual. IPhone ain’t a good phone to get. It’s too distracting. Argh. Real time tweets, news and chats are just at your fingertips. While in accounting lecture, we found out so many kpop news from allkpop and soshified. DISTRACTIONS DISTRACTIONS. Then everyone starts getting on twitter and tweet each other -.- In the past, friends pass notes to communicate. Now? They just tweet. Hah. Technology advances. No need to get caught passing papers around, no longer distracting to those who want to listen in class.
Seriously. Peiyu was kind of distracted too. Showed us her really cool ruler. It had the function of a vernier caliper (remind me of Physics. Boo!). So we started to measure each other’s wrist. LOL. I won in a bad way. Hahaha! I really need to lose more weight -.- just 3.5 more kg and I’ll be so much happier (:
Right up next was Business Statistics. Argh. Total x.x SweeHong, Jasmine Kok and I were chatting while doing questions. I can’t remember how to do them anymore! Gosh. I can predict how I’ll fare in the upcoming test already. Those maximax and maximin x.x Need to practise more questions! Sometimes, I really wonder what I’m doing. Others have already done their tutorial questions and I’m… no idea doing what -.- They even completed further than that. Haix. I need to work harder! I wana be a good example too! Some people just motivates me! So continue to be a good role model okay!
After that went for YEN meeting. Learnt a lot of stuff about organizing an event. Wylie was really patient with us which made me pretty guilty >< She was so helpful too, providing us her past assignments and stuff. Such a good senior!
Well, thats pretty much what happened the day before.
Today’s ACCOUNTING AGAIN. Let me tell you, I HATE HATE HATE MORNING LESSONS. Don’t ask me why I could wake up at 6am in the past to go school and now finds it a chore to even wake up at 7am. Blame it on the long transport. 1 hour of travelling kills people. Especially when you have to squeeze with everyone. Oh. This reminds me of the Orientation Bash coming up in Zouk. Jasmine Kok was telling me how she hates clubbing. Me, who didn’t have such experience thought it should be pretty fun dancing or something. Well, she told me that its completely NOT THE CASE. First up, there’s no place to dance. Second, it feels almost the same as dancing when you’re in a packed MRT train during peak hours. Wow. I guess I wouldn’t want to experience that. Don’t really like it when strangers touches you, as in not intentionally. Just don’t really like it.
This topic brings me to the next thing that happened. Brought 2 books to school today. So heavy!! Lent Sweehong “The 9th Judgement” which I definitely recommend to people who love thrillers!! I also brought “The Five Love Languages” book because Jas Kok wanted to do the test so as to determine the love language that she speaks. I predicted her and Sweehong to have “Physical Touch” as their primary love language since they love to touch each other during class -_- LOL. There has been so much instances already! For example, yesterday (I think) Sweehong complained that Jasmine Kok just brushed her hand. My reply to her was “I thought you like people to touch you. LOL” Well, I was right about Sweehong and wrong about Jas Kok. Jas kok on the other hand had “Quality Time” as her main love language. Jas Tan as I predicted was “Words of Affirmation”.
They started to ask about mine and I confessed that I have never taken the test at the back before. It actually doesn’t look that accurate to me so I didn’t bother in the past when I bought the book. Just now while on the train ride, I did the test and got my answer. Well, a little surprising.
What else happened today. Oh. I had fun pulling other people’s shoelaces. Favourite game in JC. I recall the days when LingLan would always pull our shoelaces and we can’t do it back because she ties hers in a dead knot -.- Smart of her. And so, JiaJun and I kept pulling ZhanYang’s, KarWee’s and Jas Kok’s. ZhanYang got irritated because we even pulled it all out. The scene of him trying to prevent us from pulling and tying it back seriously cracks me up. Well, funny stuff happens every time when you have nothing to do and are sitting in a circle while trying to decide the next event.
Something else that happened was Jas kok who was I think bored to tears. She did this SUPER LAME magic trick that sent shivers up our spine, literally. I know there won’t be much effect describing it out unless you see her do it on the spot but I’m just gona try anyway. What happened was as follows:
J: EngHwee. I show you a magic trick.
E: oO What.
J; *Whips out KarWee’s car key” Look at this emblem. I’ll cover it and it’ll disappear.
E: *interested*
J: *covers emblem* You see, it has disappeared and it has appeared HERE *releases the keychain that is hanging from the same car key which has the same emblem*
E, ZY, WL, JJ, KW: …
Seriously… no words to describe. Ha Ha Ha.
After slacking, we finally decided to go home because we’re so tired!
Watched Music Bank just now. Boa won the third time (Y) and as requested, Shinee danced “Hurricane Venus” with her except it got cut off -.- which raged the fans (us) because we totally expected MORE. Boo! But I did catch some of it. Onew! Heh. Can’t wait for the concert on 23 October (:
Uhuh. So thats pretty much what happened in both today and yesterday. Got to go study now!
The shark learned how to fly
Aug 23rd
Seriously wanted to blog about the kite flying experience last Thursday but Jin have not uploaded the photos yet so I guess, its kinda hard to remember what actually happened given that I’ve had too much fun. Let me just type this in the order of my memory then (:
School was horrible that day as I recall. Accounting. I doubt anyone was actually immersed in the lecture itself. Everyone was doing something else, I was no different. Super losing interest in the module so I guess Banking and Finance ain’t my cup of tea at all. After checking my twitter, yes yes. I confirmed I was sitting beside Jasmine Kok. We just can’t pay attention to class. I wonder if its my fault who can’t stop blabbering about KPOP. LOL. And the people behind us were talking about SNSD which got us so excited AGAIN.
Trying to focus proved futile and we started drawing, doodling would be a more accurate word.

Sorry that the picture’s upside down ><

Improved version.
The pink ink belongs to Jas and pencil’s, mine
We literally cheered when it was end of Accounting for the lecturer was only trying to drag time. She was walking up and down the “mountain” (which referred to us) and testing us the formula which would be given in the exam. I wonder whats the point of her entire exercise except to delay us from leaving lesson early. If only she knew how early we get out of class for BC, I think she would have let us out on the spot!
After that, we took a bus from school to Clementi MRT to meet Junqi. Tried to look for kites but wasn’t successful. Oh, but we got this deck of HUGE poker cards. Totally conned because it had repeated patterns and numbers. Even the printing wasn’t good. There were this King card which had half of another Queen card printed on it. Totally CMI.
Boarded the train and alighted at Cityhall to get some stuff in Carrefour. We spent so long trying to get kites and food. LOL. As usual huh.
Finally, we purchased everything we needed. Shah then drove the girls + JiaJun to MARINA BARRAGE! Been so long since I’ve went there. Actually the last time I went there was during last year’s Ben & Jerry’s Chunk Fest. I remembered when our class gathered around a patch of grass and started munching down all the different flavours of ice cream.
On the way there, Shah was trying to let us experience some roller coaster ride effects and the hump failed him. He was so excited then “eh? why nothing one” -.- Saved all the girls behind because we were all squeezed. It was better than the time to Liana’s house but still, nothing beats sitting on one seat by yourself. Sandy, Jialing, Jasmine(s) and me were all at the back of the car trying to make ourselves comfortable.
When we arrived, I swore I had a slight backache. Jialing banged her head on the roof of Shah’s car several times. However, we were still excited! (okay, maybe only me :X)
Flew the shark kite and mishap happened ): Jasmine Kok and I were happily flying the Shark kite and were so hyped because it just kept going higher and higher. All of a sudden, we saw the kite flying further and further and we saw this STRING. Thats when we realized that the kite has literally FLEW AWAY from us. My first reaction was to run towards it. The best part? I definitely did run faster than the speed it flew but bending down and grabbing the string was too slow ): I guess my shuttle run training in the past didn’t help much. Darn. And so, it ended its journey in the sky and went back where it belonged to. Thats when we came to the conclusion that Sharks definitely CAN’T fly.
After that, we didn’t lose hope. Shah got us back to Carrefour and we got ourselves another kite. This time, we got a rainbow one instead. No more marine animals. NO. Got back to Marina Barrage. Had lots of fun flying kite, playing monopoly deal, taking pictures and eating snacks
Evening came, we had KFC for dinner at Plaza Singapura. After that went to Rochor to eat beancurd. First time walking there from the MRT in my entire life. Nearly died on the way back because Junqi just couldn’t stop coming up with jokes. Seriously, I know where all my fats have gone to!
Okay. That pretty rounded up the entire kite flying experience unless the pictures get uploaded, I can’t remember the nitty-gritty stuff that happened :l
Can’t wait for another kite flying outing
Bicycle gang!
Aug 15th
Wanted to type this post yesterday but my brain couldn’t work properly so I decided to heed its advice, gave it the rest it needed and now I’m all fresh and energetic (: This would probably help when I need to regurgitate whatever that happened around.. 20 hours ago?
Lets just skip what happened with our Accounting test since its all the same, smiles and tears. It’s all over so lets not dwell over what’s over!
With our SUPERB planning skills, we managed to settle our transport and place in one hour and the girls got to hop on the cars while the other guys went to get more transport vehicles. Wow. That sounded so scientific or something. Well, anyways, the girls split themselves up, some went on LipChung’s and the others on KarWee’s car. PeiYu, Laura, Jasmine Kok and I boarded LipChung’s.
Once I went on, I saw this poor strangled tigger who was on the verge of death.

Look at its poor neck, hanged to death!
The entire journey, I tried hard not to look at it but in the end I gave up and changed its position.

Look how happy he has become!
I was trying to act all passionate about being a animal lover and wanted to report the case to SPCA. LipChung then retorted saying that I was a dangerous person and need to reconsider about giving me a ride next time. Joked and wanted to get off the car.
After that was awkward silence… so I tried to break the ice by saying “What an awkward silence. Almost seems like a matchmaking session.” I guess I chose the wrong words to say because Peiyu was definitely against it. Oops.
Well, so I tried to salvage the situation by displaying my paparazzi skills once again. Started to snap photos of everyone in the car.

First attempt.
Told them honestly that it wasn’t good but I decided to upload it anyway! LOL
Peiyu was so agitated. LOL :X So being a “good” person, I decided to take another!

This time, it was definitely much nicer but I guess Laura still ain’t pleased with it. In the end I gave up and start taking pictures of the others instead. Here’s Jasmine Kok riding shotgun.

And the focused driver who we nagged several times to NOT TURN AROUND.

Here’s another picture of Laura and me! Taken by Jasmine Kok.

Thats when my random hair craze started. LipChung’s rear mirror was in a very good position and I could see my hair perfectly. I realized how nice my hair colour was. LOL. I started to just keep commenting about how I love my hair and stuff till they got totally “irritated” about it. Knew they were just teasing around. Hahas. Weak attempt in trying to brighten up the atmosphere :X

Laura and Lipchung’s cap.

The others on KarWee’s car.
I did double confirm that it was his. Have to confess that I’m not that much of a car lover so I can’t recognize their cars even though I’ve seen and ridden them so many times ><” Boo! Whenever my dad and brother start up a car topic, all I could do was try to listen and increase my knowledge in this field. All I know is I want to get a red Maserati which they agreed that it is beyond my means. Hmph. I’ll earn earn earn earn earn and get one!!! :X Maybe I should focus on getting my license first.. LOL.
Just to sidetrack a bit, I need to explain why I want this car. One FATEFUL day (boring enough?), I was on the bus, on my way to school. It was a red light. I turned my head and I saw this really pretty red car beside me caught my eye. It had this emblem (can I call it this?) with the shape of a crown. The driver had the hood up and it was sooooooooo gorgeous. Absolutely. And guess what? It was a female driver. Whoo! Thats when I told myself I would get a car like that in the future.
Thats me and my dream car. A little too far to reach. Haha. Well, enough digressing. On our way there, Peiyu was telling us stories about tunnels. She recalled when she was watching this random Taiwan variety show where there was this guy who was telling everyone about his bone chilling experience. His car broke down unlucky in the tunnel and he had to dismount his bike and push it at the side of the tunnel. In Taiwan, their tunnels have openings at the side. When he was pushing it to the first opening, he saw unidentified beings dressed in colourful costumes. At first he ignored it but when he reached the next one, he saw exactly the same ones. Pretty freaky for a story told in the 7th lunar month and would be even scarier if it was in the night.
Luckily Singapore’s tunnels do not have any openings. So I guess we’re kind of safe.
And so in half an hour, we reached EAST COAST PARK! Thank the guys for their cars. If we have taken public transport, I think it would have taken us more than an hour to reach our destination. And definitely after 5pm or something.
We met up with the rest of the people at Macs. Abi arrived dressed with a baseball jacket which got JasKok and I hyped up and started talking about SNSD and their pink baseball jackets. We also realized that she had Monopoly Deal! Guess everyone’s crazy about this game. I’m actually thinking of getting a set myself too!
After finishing our meal, we started to snap more photos.

Our cute OGL!

I was demanded to take this by SH. So I decided to put in some professionalism and made them position themselves properly before I took the photo.
After some time, everyone managed to gather and off we go to cycle! Placed our bags in the cars and walked to the nearest rental shop nearby. While walking there, Shah was bewildered on why Abi and I were wearing an outer jacket. I replied that it was a plan to double the effects of losing weight. He then gave a comment that seriously made me laugh. “You thin already you want to lose what? You want become flat is it?” LOL.
When we reached the shop, everyone was pretty confused because it has been some time since we have actually ridden a bicycle. We and our unhealthy lifestyles! Spent a long time sorting out everything. So meanwhile, its photo taking again for me!

Lip Chung doing all the job.

While waiting for the others.

Forgot to mention this funny incident. I guess I’m not a safe cyclist after all. There was this set of stairs in front and because I was so focused on not losing the others in front, I went down the stairs instead of the slope. In the end the chain of my bicycle fell out ><” I didn’t even know there was a slope at the side! Blehs. Well, had to trouble Shah to help me fix it and got his hands all dirty.
After that, we rode all the way to the HDB flats to satisfy everyone’s KOI cravings. Actually not everyone but most of the people, especially Sandy.

SLURP SLURP.
Laura with Yangchun.
Reason for his awkward smile? He got chided by Jasmine Kok who told him not to act cute. In the end he did not know what pose he should give which resulted in an awkward smile. Hahas.

Everyone enjoying their KOI drink!
Lip Chung and Jiajun.
They drank watermelon and honeydew juice instead. Well. I have to say that KOI is a little overrated. Not sure why everyone is crazy about it or maybe I’m just ordering the wrong drinks. The honey milk tea seems a little too sweet for my preference and the ice cream milk tea isn’t that bad but not really to the point of addiction.
Shah, trying to hide his excitement while waiting for news.
Guess there’s no need to elaborate on why is that so. Oh. Before that, Liana and I ganged up to tease him by slurping our KOIs with exaggerated faces in front of him
Seems like some shop opening event except the cutting of the red ribbon is changed to the poking of straw into a KOI cup.

Ultimate Ecstasy.

Sandy, the happiest person of us all.
After that we asked someone to help us take a picture of the “Bike Gang”. The photo is with Yangchun and I’m not sure when he’s gona upload it since he got this reputation of not uploading photos
Boo. Actually, I felt a little weird riding all our bikes there because we were obstructing the way, especially during those squeezy pathways. I could feel everyone’s glares and how they were unhappy with what we were doing. And it was pretty dangerous crossing the roads with our bikes :l
We went back and returned our bicycles. JasKok, Laura and I were staggering. We couldn’t walk properly because of the long riding. Jun Qi claimed that he couldn’t feel his butt anymore which I couldn’t more agree to that statement. Plus I think it has been a long time since I’ve actually exercised. Felt a little dizzy and couldn’t walk straight x.x Thanks to Laura, I managed to get to Macdonalds to wash my hands and meet up with Jin.
Walked back to the others and started discussing on where we should have dinner. Finally decided to go East Coast Lagoon Food Village. Laura and I were so tired and didn’t want to leave LipChung’s car when we reached the place. Just wanted to sit inside, relax and enjoy the air-con. Managed to enjoy for only 5 minutes and the others all arrived. Saw this romantic scene. SweeHong was in Karwee’s car with the hood up. Hahas. Jin, Laura, JasKok and I were like “Wow. So sweet! LOL”.
Eh wait. But how did we ended up waiting for the others to arrive in the hawker centre? Okay. My memories are all mixed up. Never mind. Anyways, each of us occupied a table and Jin was telling us how this is a popularity contest. I predicted how LipChung would win this contest. When they arrived, everyone started to settle at his table and I was like “SEE! I knew it. LOL” Fine. It was apparently more of a “guys went to LipChung”, except for Jiajun who just sat down at the nearest table, which was mine and the girls separated themselves to the other tables.
Played Monopoly deal and had SATAYS! Heh. We were SO AGITATED over the game. Gosh. So addictive, definitely more addictive than KOI. LOL. We taught Shah and Laura how to play the game and started to get so tensed when others were starting to win. Had so much fun. In the end we got so high and hot because of one mind game.
The others were drinking and eating. Junqi got drunk and walked to our table. He wanted to come “Cheers” with us when he realized that our table was just opposite a muslim store so he went back to his own table. After that, Liana came along and explained what happened actually. We then realized that Junqi was drunk.
Chatted for awhile more, finished our last Monopoly game and we left the place. Somehow everyone managed to get a ride back.
LipChung drove Jin, Swee Hong, my brother and me home. While on the car, we started talking about Teletubbies and how scary they were. Also talked about SNSD
Jin’s home feels really eerie ><” The lights are so dim! Ah. And Lipchung nearly bumped into her dad’s car while reversing. LOL.
My brother and I reached home safely thanks to Lipchung. Well, I guess he managed to find his way back. Sembawang is a ULU place to people who don’t live at the north. Little people have even heard of it ): But well, I’ll make it more popular!! HAHAHA.
Okay. End of post! Shall organize another activity soon! (:
Short and sweet.
Aug 7th
3 sentences to summarize what happened today.
First time singing so much English songs during Kbox.
Pastamania was so “losing” weight instead of gaining all thanks to Junqi and the others.
Seriously tired but had lots of fun today (:
