Okay. SLEEP TIME!

Lets start with this incredible long post.

On Saturday, we (Kaching) decided to meet up for Sushi Buffet with the intention to spend our $100 CapitalMall voucher away. My brother and I arrived at Cine at around 1.30pm and we found the others sitting outside Frolic at Basement 1. This seriously brings me back memories when Joyce and I would without fail get a yoghurt from Frolic after our Hip Hop dance lesson because of her tremendous-cannot-be-controlled urge for it. Well anyways, we got information from Kar Wee that they spent 1 hour from 12pm to 1pm at Somerset MRT gathering everyone. That is like so NORMAL! After that, they finally settled down at Frolic and were deciding on a place to go because Suki Sushi was full.

Several minutes passed and Sandy came. Somehow or another, we started walking to the Sakae Sushi Outlet at Scape. More memories! Argh. As expected by the others, it was EMPTY! And so we found our SUSHI! The best part was we managed to enjoy the Youth deal when more than half of us were over the age limit which was 21. The waiter assumed we were part of the “Youth” group and gave us the deal so I guess we couldn’t reject it

We split ourselves into 3 tables. Somehow or the other, the OGLs ended up sitting with themselves and Liana. Then Vivian and Flora suggested that we mixed around after awhile so that everyone gets to chat with each other. At first I was thinking, so we move with our plates and chopsticks or something?

And so we started our BINGING! My brother started complaining that Jia Ling shouldn’t sit near the belt because she was slow in getting those plates that he wanted. The funny thing was she admitted that she was slow and insisted that my brother should ask her to take the plate much earlier beforehand. Super hilarious.

In the end, our table died pretty fast because we ate really quick initially and then our speed died off. Table 1 on the other hand seriously prepared for the buffet. It was an all girls table but they ate the FASTEST! Suddenly, its no longer guys eat more than girls because Table 3 which was an all guys table ate the most little compared to the others! In the end, they started playing games with people from the other tables so that they could get the food off their table.

Apparently the pro won match after match. So they managed to clear lots of sushi off their table. They got so into the games that they started practising real hard so that they could win Shah and force him to eat the sushi they couldn’t finish.

Finally we finished all the sushi that we ordered. Vivian, Flora and Abi started to give us pointers on how to score on our assignments. It was literally a “moths to flame” scene when all of us perked our ears and gathered around them so that we could jot down the invaluable tips given.

Oh. There was Jialing and her talent. She’s able to make her index and little fingers touch when we do the “no link” sign. All of us tried so hard and we failed at it. I guess this kind of things are innate and can’t be learnt. Well, the others started to show off that they can do the ET hand though where the index and middle fingers would touch each other while the ring and little finger are together. Those who couldn’t do started to defend themselves by calling those who could “Aliens”. What they actually said were “You guys aliens so can do!” LOL.

We continued joking around about how Sandy spent more time standing up than sitting down because she kept going out to answer calls and stuff.

After that, we paid up according to our own tables after that and took pictures outside Sakae Sushi. We wanted to have the shop entrance as background but there wasn’t enough space so in the end we had to take it the other way instead.

Guess we spent a long time deciding where we would go next again. It was confirmed to be The Hang Out Place which we realized was renamed to be PlayNation when we arrived there.

On our way out of Scape, we saw this sign. 2AM today. Kar Wee and Jin started joking that 2AM would be coming to visit this shop that day. At first I really thought they were -.-

While walking to Dhoby Ghaut MRT, we saw Quan Yi Feng and some Mediacorp crew.

Laura, Jin and I hummed and sang to songs on our way to PlayNation. Laura and I agreed that Jin is a JUKEBOX! She knows almost every single song! It’s really amazing how she can know so much songs here and there. She also told me more about SNSD and those videos I should watch. Blehs. If I continue watching, I’ll never be able to complete my assignment so I guess I’ll watch them only AFTER I have completed my individual assignment. Promise to myself (:

We reached in around 30 minutes. I was so shocked at the price. 1 hour only costs $3.50 per person. How is that possible? I remembered in the past when my JC mates and I went to Settler’s Cafe and paid a hefty price ): CONNED! Now I know another cheap and budget place we can go to (:

From the many board games available there, we picked “The Big Taboo”! There’s a huge difference that makes this game more fun which is it combines Pictionary and other elements in it. Once we opened the box, Vivian was so attracted to Bob, our new friend for the day. It’s purple, had super long arms and legs. Gives me the urge to just tie them all up and I guess I did that :X

Amid the noises (which was made from the other tables. There was this table which kept laughing), the guy there managed to explain to us the rules and guide us on how to play the game properly.

I was the only one listening attentively while the others were like staring at the board? :X Actually to say the truth, I was just trying to hear what the poor guy is trying to say while resisting the urge to stone. LOL.

We started the game (like finally?) with 3 teams! Jin, Kar Wee, Jiajun and Laura in one; Abi, my brother and I in another; Vivian, Shah, ZY and Jun Qi in the last.

The Pictionary drove some people crazy and now we know who can’t draw for nuts.

The climax of the game was when it was time to use Bob to help us. The purpose of this part of the game was to use Bob to act out words or actions. Its really difficult with his flimsy long hands and legs but some of us managed to somehow. For example Laura who could get her mates to guess 5 correct in only a minute. The “Sleeping” action was the best. She just kind of dumped Bob on the table flat and they shouted “SLEEPING” immediately. Junqi’s team on the other hand couldn’t cooperate with Bob at all. Makes me laugh to think about it. Taboo also drove some of us insane. Kar Wee was attempting to make his mates guess Stomach by saying “Beside the liver”. But nobody understood. Well, he tried his best. The advice is, do not use scientific terms during Taboo. haha.

And so, we exceeded the time limit of one hour but the shopkeeper was so nice to just charge us an hour cost. Thanks!

Overall, it was a super fun day out. So exhausted after the board game. We need to gather like this once in awhile, all of us and create more happy and fun memories!

Well, it has been days since I’ve typed a sensible post so shall I start? (:

Finally, its a morning lecture today! Seriously, I can’t believe that Class A gets all the morning lectures. Every time I reach school, I can see all the gleams on everybody’s faces. HELLO? They ended class and are on the way home or out while WE have not even started our lecture. I can’t exactly say that afternoon lectures are all BAD. At least we don’t have to wake up early in the morning, but still, I want to go home early once in a while and go out to chill with my friends ):

Somehow or the other, I managed to scrap through Accounting class without sleeping. Wait. I have never slept in class before. Let me rectify that sentence. I managed to not STONE throughout the lesson. Normally, I would just zone out before 30 minutes the class has commenced. It usually goes like this. Lecture starts for 5 minutes. Everyone is trying to settle down and listen to the lecturer. 10 minutes, everyone has their notes out and is ready to listen. 20 minutes, lecturer starts to go into some confusing concepts and I try my best to understand them. 25 minutes, I struggle through trying not to give up that easily. 30 minutes, its over. I’M LOST and nobody can get me back. I would then look around and try to examine those faces around me.

Some look like they are totally immersed in the lesson and thats when I go “Oh shit I’m so dead”. Then I catch some around me that are busy talking and I’ll go “Phew. At least I’m not that bad”. But when I see these few that are busying copying and attempting the questions on the notes, I’ll start to feel this stress accumulating. My brain will start reprimanding me for being so stupid and not being able to comprehend those theory that the teacher has taught. Then I’ll reflect on why I’m so dumb and my classmates are not. After that I doubt whether I’m in the correct place at all and maybe I’m just wasting my time and money away. By the time I finally would lose myself, the bell saves the day! It’ll bring me back to reality and I’ll hear my classmates ranting to me that they do not understand whatever the lecturer was saying and we’ll agree to study together and help each other out.

Oh. I guess I digressed quite far. Lets get back shall we (: And so, after accounting, the few of us from Class B decided to have our lunch at West Mall! Ah. Before that, we went to the library. Swee Hong and I picked up this book that teaches us how to read faces. So we started our amateur skills and learnt a couple of points here and there. For example, SH has a even and symmetrical hairline which says that she is a good socializer which she tried to prove after that. My brother who had this “m” shape hairline has a desire for men. I mean DON’T LOOK AT ME. THATS WHAT THE BOOK WROTE. SH and I were laughing our hearts out when I remembered that we were in a library and shushed us all up. On the way out, SH was busy telling me why I couldn’t be a librarian because I’ll most probably shout at everyone and tell them to shut up because its the library!

At West Mall, we finally decided to eat at Burger King after numerous objections of Zhan Yang’s suggestion of Subway. When we were in the fast food outlet, I was happily showing off the taro pie coupon I had (because of the other day when they ran out of pies which devastated me), Zhan Yang then got excited together and exclaimed that he had 2 of those. And so, we had our TARO PIES! So happy! Been a long time since I had one. Argh. Suddenly recall the Uniqlo days ):

We went to the counter to get our orders taken. There were these three queues which ZY then my brother and lastly, Jas Tan and I queued respectively. We then realized that ZY got into the correct queue because those that were in front of him were all wearing shirts similar as his. So he blended into the group without a hitch. Somehow or the other, the conversation developed into a ZY’s queue is a HD while my brother’s is a D and the girls’ were a C. That’s unfair! We spent the time arguing that who was HD and who wasn’t. When we went back to our seats, I teased ZY that he sat at the wrong table. He was confused at first but when he finally turned his head to look at where I was pointing, he gave me that lame face :X Apparently those guys sitting behind him were wearing shirts. I mean, he really seems to be part of them! :X

We chatted during our meal and seriously had a fun time. It’s been days since we’ve hanged out together as a group. After that, Fabian and YC left us. Then we crashed at the arcade. There’s this Friday deal right now that when you top up 20 bucks, you’ll get 20 bucks free. So I guess we enjoyed external benefit :X (econs econs…) because ZY went to top up his timezone card. I had to say that both Jas Tan and I were super surprised at how excited he could be. I guess he was reviving his childhood days or something around there.

First up was the air…. hockey? match that Jiajun and ZY had. Jiajun lost terribly to ZY to a score of 3 to 7 I think. Then my brother competed against ZY. For some reasons, ZY kept missing the …. (whats the thing called) by a millisecond. So my brother’s score just kept increasing while he couldn’t get over the shock of his “slowness”. Must be the old factor :X Wait. They are the same age.

Basketball was next. JJ and ZY managed to get to the fourth stage. Actually, it was the first time I’ve see people get so far so I was pretty shocked.

After that was PHOTOHUNT! We were so hooked that we just kept playing. JJ was trying to avoid being labelled “Liability” and tried his best in identifying the differences. I guess his efforts paid off in the end and he got so much better in spotting them. PhotoHunt got to be the game I love most in Arcades! Well, thats the only game that I like….

Oh wait. I forgot that ZY and JJ competed against each other in a Daytona’s match. ZY was at first in the lead when he realized that he couldn’t get past gear 2 because of the faulty controls. However, he managed to get lucky because JJ’s phone rang and then the sight of my brother holding the phone to his ear and JJ trying to focus on the game and answer the call at the same time was so hilarious. In the end he gave up and asked my brother to answer it instead. Things got heated up and JJ won afterall. I guess gear 2 can never win gear 4. Oops. Did I just overlook JJ’s skills? I wonder if his victory was due to the controls or him… Hmm..

Jin, Sandy and Junqi met up with us. Chatted with them for awhile and then Jas Tan, my brother and I left. Really tired ><” and my eyes HURT like crazy so I thought I should just go home and rest.

Well, haven’t got the time to actually transfer my stuff over yet from the previous laptop. I have not even completed my homework for a start -.- Gosh. Procrastination! I’m gona get a HD!! I don’t care. Oh. For your information, HD stands for High Distinction, not High Definition. HAHAHAHA :X

Ah. And thanks for popping over to visit my mum yesterday (: You guys really cheered her up. Good news! She’s going to be discharged in two days time. Guess the doctor really predicted correctly, 1 week of hospitalization is all she needed. Her recovery was so speedy! During the first few days she was still weak and all..

This week had been really packed (The week hasn’t been totally past yet but I’m already feeling the tension). There was driving lessons in the middle of school, totally hated it. I’m starting to develop a fear, nono. A sense of hatred towards driving. Start to hate it seriously bad. Every time a lesson approaches, I want to think of millions of excuses to get out of it. But never would I miss it, why? MONEY BINDS ME TO THE COURSE! Also, I have to keep reminding myself how I want to just get it OVER and DONE WITH! I can’t push it back any further either because my PDL expires during September. I wish time can pass even faster. Gosh. Life sucks with driving lessons. IT DOES.

Plus, I seriously DETEST the SSDC website. Every time I want to book more lessons, it HANGS. It just does not want to earn my money. Crap -.-

Well anyways, I’m starting to get used to University life. We thought it was slack, I thought it was, until I realized how LITTLE effort I’ve been putting into my studies. And right now when I’m on track? I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME! There is actually quite a number of things to do for each module ): I got to work hard if I want to get a good degree. Not just one with credit! ><”

Been going to the hospital frequently right after school lately. Quite happy to see my mum recovering (: But still, a little disappointed here and there because I hoped for a speedy recovery, perhaps a little too much ><” Oh well, its at least really fast!

Actually, its pretty funny when you think about it. Every single day, I go over to the same place with my brother and see the same people there. Whether its the nurses or the visitors. No matter how different we are, we’re family and kins to the patients. We care and thats why we’re there. They are there for the same purpose as us. To catch a glimpse of our loved ones, make sure they are recovering okay, make sure that their needs are all met by the nurses there. Actually, nurses really need to be appreciated much more. They do so much for us and yet we almost give nothing in return. It’s true that sometimes we get too demanding but I guess thats how much we care about our loved ones. But still, nurses are great! I respect you guys a lot!

Okay. Time to sleep. Before that, I need to yell in the mirror “I’m fabulous!” Thats the way we get MOTIVATED and want to go to school, as quoted by one of my SIM lecturers. Let’s see if that works. HAHA. Have a good night people (:

Forgot to mention that we’ve already formed our groups! Given the freedom this time round, compared to during JC, I hope we’ve made the right choice. NONONO! I’m sure we can do much better as we’re now all MATURE ADULTS. LOL. Okay. I’m going crazy. OH. Which made me think of something.

One of the modules we’re currently taking now is OB, Organizational Behaviour. It’s actually pretty interesting on the fact that Sociology was one of my choices in my University applications. This is part of it (: So anyways, we had an activity which was to write a word to describe ourselves then ask our neighbours on how they thought of us. I faced Jasmine Tan and described her as “Picky” then turned to SweeHong, labeled her as “crazy”. In the end, they ganged up and said that those words fit me more! In the end, I got stuck with “Picky”, “Crazy” and “Bubbly”. Blehs.

Ah. And I met Jolene, Jeannette, Ms and Sha in the evening. It was such a coincidence that Jolene helped me to get my SGC from YJ today. So she just passed it to me. No hassle. No need to try and get another day to meet up and stuff. So lucky. Oh well.

Hmm.. Oh yeah. And I finished watching Buzzer Beat. Guess I’ll start watching the drama that Hami recommended.

It’s been so long since I’ve stepped into school on a SATURDAY! Ever since Singapore’s education system implemented a 5 day week, going to school on Saturdays have been history. Well well, universities sure are different eh? Anyways, the lesson was a pure annoyance. I had no idea Microsoft Word can be so useful AND frustrating at the same time. Our task was to create a business report with a good letter head. I spent like 1 entire hour trying to figure out Word. Its been a long time, ever since school ended, I haven’t even touched the computer for school purposes anymore. Everyday, it has been either Facebook or work. But somehow… I really miss work days ): And my work friends. Argh.

After lesson, went to meet Weiqin, Jolene, Renzhi and Cheewee straight at AMK hub. I thought I went on a suicide ride because from SIM HQ to AMK, it was super long! And that day was the first day of distance fare, so I thought a great amount would be deducted from my ez-link. In the end, I was wrong! It was only a dollar and fifty cents. No idea how they calculate it, but I’m benefiting from it, so I shall not care!

As usual, everyone was late! Except Cheewee and me. So we hanged around, waiting for the others to come. Bought popcorn and nachos Been so long since I’ve eaten those which shows how long since I’ve watched a movie huh? Imma cavewoman. Yosh. LOL.

Eclipse was pretty good but the same flaw apply from Twilight. Those who didn’t read the books, wouldn’t have understand the movie fully. That point was pretty sad. But I guess it didn’t matter for me since I’ve already read the entire series Oh, there were these bunch of school girls behind Jolene and I. Every time Jacob appeared on screen or says something touching, they would go “awww”. It’s not like we needed extra sound effects for the movie x.x Jolene and I exchanged glances every time they make that noise.

After the show, we walked around aimlessly and then departed for home.

Sunday was a blast. I was pretty shocked to see Shannon and Mingsheng there (Oh and of course Mingle). Didn’t know they were going. We took the “familiar” bus 76 to Jiakiang’s house. When we reached, food was already ready for us. I had to say I was a little disappointed to see KFC x.x Not really into fast food. Oh well. Beggars can’t be choosers. But fast food proved to the the best choice when serving large groups of people. Everyone dug in hungrily.

Some continued eating while the others started playing Wii. I SUCK at car racing games -.- Give up. But I won Mingle :X Nothing to be proud of! LOL. Was accused for bullying KIDS :X Well, either way, I’ll be said!

After that we played Tennis! My favourite game on Wii MingSheng and Jiakiang totally thrashed us x.x They are super pro at it. Jolene arrived soon after with my pink dolphin! Forgot to bring my bottle ><” How forgetful. Then we played Saboteur again. Super fun game. Its the only complicated game that I’ve fallen in love with. Next was Bridge. I give up. My luck was super down and I was trying to blame it on the Feng Shui

Dinner was pizza! So guilty and apologetic. Jiakiang’s mum was so nice to order more food for us because we were hungry ><” THANKS! We spent the evening playing another card game, not a poker one. I have no idea whats the game name at all but it was really worth our time. Seems like Jiakiang can develop his house into a Settler’s Cafe or something. He has Wii, XBOX, so many card and board games. Next time, we should just go over his house or something. No need to go pay money and play some boring games outside when we can just settle comfortably in our classmates house and have fun together (:

Overall, it was really nice to chill with my JC mates, catch up with each other. Been a long time since I’ve seen some of them. Well, we got to meet up again soon guys!

Today was a pretty slacky day. I was supposed to meet up with Kachings but I guess the partying during the weekends weakened my body ): Down with flu and sorethroat. Also had a really bad headache in the morning. Was so pissed off and snapped at every single thing. Rested for the entire afternoon and am now feeling much better (: Dyed my hair as well! Its so dry right now x.x So dry that I feel like just doing 10 hair masks consecutively x.x Anyways, I used Liese’s Marshmallow Brown Bubble Colour dye. The colour’s a little lighter than my previous one. It was quite a fun experience, but totally tiring! Guess I’ll stick to going to salons in the future.

I’m not someone to fill in your “bored” moments. For example, YOU are super bored. YOU open your messenger and realized that I’m the only one online. Hence YOU had no choice but to double click on my nick and start to ENTERTAIN YOURSELF. So, YOU start to get the conversation rolling by asking questions that YOU already have the answer to.

To say the truth, I can actually respond in two ways. First, get angry and start giving you a piece of my mind. Second, play along. The difference? The latter is actually the worse off one because I have no intention to tell you how pathetic you are to have just exposed yourself to me on how much you do not even care about me as a friend. The first category people have at least some hope somewhere, here and there.

A waste of both our precious time. Perhaps not yours, since you were bored from the beginning. But it tells me a lot really, about you; how you think of me; and our totally redundant relationship. Yes. That’s how it is. I don’t care if you just laugh and shrug it off because I’ve already seen your true colours, inside out.

Shopped with Jiaying on Tuesday! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Finally bought my new bag. Quite sad to throw away my piano bag though ): Has been with me for so many days. I haven’t change yet. Well, a japan bag for another japan one! Also bought cosmetic spectacles and shoes! Must shop with her next time again because when I shop with the others, in the end I always won’t manage to get whatever I need to buy ><” Now I only need a hotpink cap! Very tempted to buy the gold cap that day though. Super nice!

Yesterday, met up with my OG mates again for some RMIT visit lecture. Totally stoned. Then after that went to so many places! Super tired after that. At first, we went to have prata, then hopped onto a bus and went to town to play pool. Its actually quite funny how we waste so much time trying to form a decision. We suck at planning totally! I bet we wasted 3 hours trying to get all of us agree on a certain activity and then finally implementing it.

For example, we spent so long looking through the menu when we finally decided to all order prata. Thats super hilarious. The person was like waiting for us for so long then when ordered only prata. I wondered if he felt a little pissed with us

Today morning, went school alone ): Brother is exempted. Seriously, take computing also no POINT! Argh. First day of school was pretty awful for me. The lack of sleep and garlic bread breakfast in the morning totally killed me during the train ride to Bukit Batok. Nearly fainted on the train. Suddenly my vision became blurred and my hearing was blocked. I wonder how many feet did I stepped on in the process of trying to get out of the train. Sorry guys ):

Well, lecture was terrible. Doubts just kept on piling while the Australian lecturer remain in her own world. No idea what she’s saying at all. Finally it was group work time. Junqi, Sweehong and me completed our work really fast. Its either we’re doing it wrongly, or we’re super talented. I think it points more to the first Anyways, Junqi was sharing with us his experience as a customer service personnel working at Samsung. So funny! All the people that he met and the solutions that he provided when he just joined. The part when he told the person there’s something wrong with the person’s house flooring hence leading to the washing machine displaying an “unbalanced” sign is the best. The person even asked if he was serious as it was quite heavy. Pretty funny that the customer followed his instructions. After some time, Junqi just realized the true meaning of what “unbalanced” means. LOL. I guess it was too late.

After the lecture, JiaJun, Yangchun and Shah met up with us. The “banglas” went up Shah’s van. Had a really fun time. Somehow, Liana became the supervisor and started instructing us to do work. Jiajun’s new name was Muthu, Deepavali for Junqi and Thapusan for Sweehong (not sure of spelling). So the entire ride to West Mall was filled with laughter. We had a short “van dancing” ride. Had lunch at Koufu, then went to play arcade. The lightings and sounds were killing me ><” Luckily Huting, Peiyu and Jasp were outside. So Sweehong and I hanged out with them while waiting for the others. Chatted and crapped a lot. Found another Joyce! Huiting’s super blur! :X

Shah drove us, the high class workers and Jiajun, the other low class worker back to SIM. Had our second round of lecture which was much easier to understand than the first one. At least this one, we had an idea about the objective of the entire lecture.

Tomorrow’s gona be accounting. Brother says there’s 145 slides. That’s insane. Think its gona be hell! Jiayous jiayous!

Submitted my resignation letter on Sunday night. After explaining to Arao-san and Florence about my situations, they were convinced to let me off (thats a harsh word but I couldn’t think of any better ones). Suddenly I feel that I would miss Uniqlo. From a full-timer, to a part-timer and now, my journey in Uniqlo has ended. Its actually quite hilarious when I recalled the first day I reported for work. That time, I was a newbie. Total newbie, not knowing what to expect from this job. After one month, I was pretty much assured that the job wasn’t what I wanted and kept saying that I would quit. But things dragged on, I made new friends, grew used to the tasks and heavy load. In the end, I stayed on till now. This Friday would be my last day already.

My fifth and last month. Pretty long compared to some previous staffs. Gona work from 8am to 9pm on Friday because I needed to meet the requirement of 20 hours which means that I can’t accompany my mum for her checkup results in the afternoon. I hope all goes well. Sigh. I’m actually pretty worried because of the doctor’s tone the other time after the first scanning ):

Anyways, I didn’t really tell anyone that this Friday would be my last day. Don’t think it really matters. Might sound a little offensive in some sense but life is like this isn’t it? 5 months seem long but the people I’ve encountered and made friends with in this part of my life would most probably be passerbys in my life, considering the average lifespan of 80 years (I wouldn’t want to live that long though). Still, good luck to them. Hope they get what they want in their future and stuff.

Besides work, my life is going to start a new chapter. University life I hope would be a fruitful one despite not being able to get into a local university. There’s an orientation camp on Saturday and Sunday. Two days one night. Not sure what to expect but I’m sure those basic elements such as night walks would not be missing. Well, it seems like I’m actually looking forward to the start of school.

My vacation, days of being idle are approaching and end. However, thats when a new journey begins. Looking forward to it.

As usual, we were LATE! However, I wasn’t the latest! In fact, my brother and I were the earliest. Hence we decided to drop by Orchard Ion for a short shopping trip before we meet Joyce at Cityhall interchange. When I reached, Joyce texted me to say that she got the bag and was ultra disappointed with it. In case you do not understand, the bag is actually a “branded” bag from Heeren which we had to pay an astonishing amount for. When I saw that red thing, I was disappointed as well! I always thought that it was a branded tote bag or something. It totally CLASHED with our “make Jolene demure” plan. A backpack with demure clothes. Totally mismatching! But Joyce said that it was something she really wanted so I guess we had to make do with it. I mean, its her birthday present. So as long as she likes it right? (:
On the way to Suntec, we were attracted by the huge flier pasted outside MPH. “MOVING OUT SALES. 90% REDUCTION”. The books were selling at an unbelieveable price! Usually its at least 25 bucks and now they are slashed to 6 bucks. Can you believe it? One book for only FOUR BOOKS. Thats insane! We got stuck in there for like half an hour before dragging ourselves out of store. My brother and I managed to buy 4 books at only 20 bucks! Super happy! I could totally understand how our mums feel happy when they bring coupons to the Supermarket just to save that few cents except mine is tens of dollars.

When we were reaching the PC show, people who were leaving our destination were carrying huge boxes and bags. Brands like Epson and Fujitsu were all over the place. I was wondering if we would be part of the crowd too, an hour later or something. It seems that I thought too much. The number of people there totally ruined our shopping moods. There were too many! It was super squeezy which made air really heavy. It was also warm and we could hear promoters with their glib tongues trying to outpass their competitor’s deals by adding more flaunt to their explanations. Those accumlated and ended in noise pollution, at least to my ears. In the end, we left empty handed but mission accomplished. Seems like Apple Online Store is still selling their MacBook Pro at a better deal compared to the PC show. A free IPod touch. Thats way better!

After that, we met up with Jiaying at Yuki Yaki in Marina Square. Once she saw us, her face brighted up and was explaining to us in a high pitched tone about how she prepared herself for this trip wearing an elastic skirt. It was my first time inside. Normally, I would just walk pass it and look at the people inside enjoying their buffets. Now, its finally my turn! Had to say that there wasn’t that much of a variety of food but the marinated chicken meat was awesome! I love the BBQ one which was heavily recommended by Joyce and Jiaying.

After that, I was banned from the hot plate but I earned a better deal. Jiaying was filling my plate with chicken meat for me Oh yeah. We also commenced our “fattening Joyce up” plan which I guess didn’t really succeed in the end because all of us were eating so much. But when Joyce wanted to eat rice, we encouraged her and even volunteered to help her take extra servings. I think that worked a little. More CARBOS! Muahahah!

Look! We even separated the hot plate into 2 parts. The meat half for Joyce and the other for the 3 of us. Which means we only had TOFU!

While waiting for the meat to get cooked, I got bored and started snapping pictures~

Jiaying busy texting her bf. Talking about this, Jiaying was sharing with us the Uniqlo incident. One fateful day, they decided to drop by Uniqlo Ion and find me. Apparently, her bf mixed me up with Ling Lan and then pointed someone who is around the same stature as Ling Lan and said that was me. Jiaying then cleared the misunderstand and told him I was someone else! And coincidentally, I wasn’t working on that day. How lucky.

After showing this picture to them, Jiaying wanted me to snap another one, wanting to take a thinner version of her. So the plan was to stay more back and also not to take her body. So it turned out like this

Manage to get a shot of Joyce cleaning her teeth. She insisted that I delete it away but I decided to not let her off because she has been such a “friend” lately! I was complaining to Jiaying about how I see Joyce every week and she still has no idea whats happening to me. So disappointing ): Jiaying then bragged about how she knew on first hand about my itouch dropping in the toilet bowl incident which even her bf knows because jiaying told him. JOYCE?! She doesn’t even KNOWWWWW!

Finally, the much awaited ICE CREAM! I seriously thought that frying ice cream actually means throwing scoops of ice cream into the oil. Seems like I was deceived for years! At least know I understand ><

It was super fun but then ruined by some waitress attitude which totally sucked. Her actions kind of became our laughter after Jiaying’s numerous imitations.

Joyce and my brother were super impressed with their master piece of Peppermint chocolate which Jiaying and I both agreed look a little gross. It looked more like green tea bubble tea with pearls or something.

After Yuki Yaki, we went for a short shopping session and took the train home.
