I know that I have tonnes of homework waiting for me in my backpack but I’m still going to blog first ! Ain’t I such a faithful blogger ? Okay I’m not. Heh. Was just trying to lie through my teeth.

Yupp. Quite obvious on what I’m going to type about. The “Track and Field Meet 2009″ ! In other words, sport’s day (:

The lessons ended with humid and hot weather. There were so many people trying to get out of school but failed because the school was clever to lock up the gates. And it was even more difficult to get early leave forms or should I say to get it approved. The point I want to make was, I’ve learnt so much things today, whether it was through observations or others.

The first thing that really puzzled me was how unappreciative people can be. Or should I say how self-centered teenagers are nowadays. Disappointed ? Actually I’m more ashamed to be grouped together. I’m not exactly insulting or referring to anyone in particular. But it seems like we have lost the ability to think about others before our desires. Just because you want to go home early, you try all means to leave school. But think about, what about the efforts that were made by the school and students ? They didn’t do all these to celebrate this event by themselves. I think it’s important that we learn to enjoy and appreciate what others do for us even if we don’t really want to be involved or it is against our wants. And if you really immerse yourself in it, you might in the end enjoy it.

That’s what I did. I really enjoyed today’s event. It was a good job done there (: Congratulations everyone. Well, back to the story, my friends and I approached the grandstand and insisted to sit together despite the pleas by the emcees :X I mean, let’s celebrate all together ! Why split ourselves up in houses ? 

The event started off with JiaWei reciting the pledge. She was the most suitable person to do it since she’s so sporty and all. Then followed by Mdm Koh igniting the torch.

The first race started with Girls 100metres sprint. Pertunia won the second place ! She’s really fast ! Awesome ! xD For guys, we all agreed that they were too fast to be seen. Next was 800metres girls and boys which meant 2 rounds around the track. This year, someone managed to overtake Julia but they are in the same house. Cool ! I mean Julia is already SO fast, and now we have another one. The third race was 1500metres for guys. Oh weird. Why is it only guys ? I wonder why too. I didn’t realise until now. Strange. But anyways, Canberra won ! Yay ~! We were busy laughing at .. (Don’t wana type it here. Might not survive tomorrow in school P )

Next up was the most anticipated event ! Okay fine. At least in my opinion ! The cheerleading competition ! The first house to start off was Admiralty. This year, all the houses were really creative and each one was so enjoyable. Admiralty started off with macho moves and ended off with sleazy ones. They brought up the mood for the following houses. After Admiralty was Canberra house. They started with really hot moves (I think the credit is due to Lynnette and I wonder if there were some WonderGirl’s dances inside ) . Lynnette was lifted the highest, I think she’s really LIGHT !

Next up was Peirce house. It was really good ! Not to forget that there were dance juniors, Pauline and Jermyn inside. I love the way how they match the moves with the song. I really wanted to watch it again. And I got to ! ( Shall tell you why later). They were a little messy at first but got into the mood really fast. It was really awesome ! Their expressions and all (though you can’t see it in the video ><” ) So sorry. And they even made it funny so that we would enjoy it further. The funny parts included the guys doing the sleazy moves. And I really loved the parts where the girls were lifted up. Cool ! Good job guys !

After that, it was Rodney house. The number of people seriously shocked me. Oh, and there are SO many dance juniors inside. Not sure if I did left out any, but the ones I saw were Candice, JingJing, Felicia, Grace, LiMin and XiShi. And of course they contributed a major role to the cheerleading. It started off with all of them doing splits. It sent the entire crowd into cheers . The cheerleading continued with moves that feel like what we learnt in dance :X Is that the influence of the dancers ? Heh I love the part when the song go “I’m a star” and they did star jumps. It was so cute ! And also the guy who did that double somersault. Totally COOL. Gosh. Personally, I feel that their cheerleading was the best. Their cheerleading ended off with a guitar piece. It was quite hilarious but it was refreshing.

Last but not least was Seletar house. Though they lacked in numbers, their cheers did not lose out at all. And the funny dance moves just kept sending the audience into laughters. Great job everyone ! D

The competition results are as follows with the Peirce being awarded the first, Rodney the second, followed by Admiralty, Canberra and Seletar.

After that, was the relay races. Darn. I wanted to ask Jeannette and the others if they wanted to join. I mean it’ll be really cool and it was the only race I can participate in -_- Because I’m .. how do I say this in english ? My reaction is really slow. I remember during secondary school sport’s day, I participated in the 100metres race and it was really embarassing because I didn’t run when the horn went off. I waited for a split second before running. Or should I say I saw them running, then I started running. But it was a little too late -_- Oh well. But I wasn’t the last few, so I guess it was okay :X When I went back to the seats, I remembered my friends laughing at me. Oh well. Let bygones be bygones.

Canberra came in second for girls ! Relay ~! Congratulations ~!! The other anticipated race was the staff race. Rainbow team which is made up of all the relief teachers won. I mean hello ?! There were only 3 teachers but 1 is a PE teacher, the other was the ex track and field captain. How could they lose ? The way they run is so … hot . LOL. I mean it’s SO FAST. They are like road runners ~ “beep beep” . The other teachers were awesome too. Some could really fun. I remember this really funny scene where Mr Leong was running right in front of us and he was running in this comical way. Then he turned around to check if anyone was catching up. Then there was Mr Sim who was just behind him trying his best to catch up with him. The funny thing was, their speed wasn’t that fast. And so that scene lasted for like a few seconds. It was so hilarious. I still can remember it vividly in my head. Anyways Canberra won second !

The mini Olympic race was quite funny. It was seriously messy and we saw Salizan tripping over someone else which led him to losing the volleyball. Then it was rolling on the floor. I think he was shocked and was puzzled if he was supposed to continue running. LOL . And the other shocking thing was that Canberra won ending with ShiYan hitting the volleyball with his head and dribbling the soccer ball to the finishing point. I mean, that scene was so soccerball-ish and we didn’t even notice Canberra at all. I think we won most probably there weren’t any hiccups.

The last race was really such a waste. Wait, was it the last? I think it was. Canberra house nearly won ! But there was miscommunication and one of the runners stopped running thinking that it has already ended. When he realised it has not, it was too late to catch up. But still we weren’t the last which showed that the runners were really fast. Oh well, forget it. We all know that they did well. 

Oh, I almost forgot the mass dance by the house excos. I think I see someone dancing .. LOL . Shall get the close up video from Jolene then blog it :X Heheh ~ P

The entire event ended with prize giving. JiaWei won the indiviual best girl award. I mean, come on! She broke the record for shotput which was unbroken for tens of years. So she got 200 points immediately. Not to forget her javelin throwing. Indeed, the best sportswomen ! D Canberra got last as usual >< Admiralty won for the first time in years ? But this year there were really a lot of talented people in their house. So yeah We shall look foward to the interhouse games ! (: Something that Canberra is good at for the past few years, well at least last year. We won that but we placed last as usual for the track and field meet. Weird huh. I think we like playing better. LOL . 

Anyways, I had a lot of fun today ! And I should move to my homework already or I think I will NEVER finish it. Especially that HOMEWORK. zzz . Whatever. Signing off now . Have a good night (:

Ahhh ! Eyelids are getting heavier every second. Gona finish my post real fast. Yesterday was the first day of the week but it felt like I had a long holiday already, except that I didn’t enjoy it. Weird. Maybe it’s because thursday I had SYF and friday I took medical leave from school. Been trying so hard to live till SYF though I’m already sick. Most of the dancers were sick but we still pressed on. 

Oh. And I realised something really fascinating today. We aren’t really that bad after all. I mean for SYF dance ! I thought there were only 3 silvers and the others were gold and gold with honors. But probably because of me being too nervous, I kind of changed whatever the announcer said about the other schools and the bronze and silver medals turned into gold. Weird. So the final result was that there were 2 bronze, 4 silvers, 7 golds and 4 golds with honors. Shocking. ACJC got a bronze. I’ve heard that it was because of the lightning and blasting of music. But the dance was good. Well well, ours were affected by the lighting too. There was a sudden blackout at the end. That’s why I feel that the judges were commenting on our dance when they talk about the part ” we want to see your dance, why turn off the lights ? ” . 

Everything is over and I guess we had a great experience while striving towards our goal !

Anyways, incidents that happened in school. YangJie got a “new” bag. Apparently, he finally used back his red colour backpack and WeiQin and I finally put the black round stickers we bought in Popular into good use ! We pasted them on his bag and now, it’s a ladybug bag ~Isn’t it cool ? Many have commented that it’s really cute. Not gona upload the pictures today because I’m SO tired. Maybe tomorrow (I’ll think about it).

WeiQin still haven’t recovered from her throat infection yet. Got to take good care of herself ! SYF is coming real fast. They don’t want to lose a valauble singer. Plus, WenJia is still sick too ! But she’s been drinking cold drinks and other heaty foods. No wonder her recovery is an extremely slow one. Jeannette is getting better I guess. Little by little. Tomorrow the basketball matches are going to start ! Good luck to them! But they are gona miss lots of lessons ><

WeiQin and I vandalised Melvin’s maths paper today. I mean DECORATED it with a nice picture. He’s gona see it tomorrow. Will tell you the response after that. Uploading the picture tomorrow too. Proudly drawn by WeiQin and me ! P

Been obsessed with KARA’s song “Pretty Girl” and singing it every moment in school. Melvin was insulting my singing ! I’m so sad ): Jolene got infected too. She hated them but she couldn’t stop herself from singing too. The other songs that kept clinging around us were ” Baby, one more time ” – Jewelry and “Love is fire” – KARA. Gona add some more new songs soon ! Enough with the Nobody already. We wanted to infect the others with “So Hot” but the tune is a little difficult to catch. I’m betting on “Tell me” next. So we’ll think about it. Anyways I really miss the old KARA ! Kept thinking about their dance for “Break it”. Love it like crazy. Love their first album too. A total different concept than the past one. 

Okay. Enough ramblings about these addictions. Lastly, LOVES JAEJOONG AND HYUNJOONG !

(WenJia said that HyunJoong isn’t good looking ): Oh well. Perhaps, but he has a cute character like JaeJoong. How can anyone not like him ? P The inside matters more than the physical appearance right ~ :X But he’s not that ugly you know. LOL . It’s just that JaeJoong is really better looking. Hah ! Enough enough )

Yesterday was Celebrating Values Day ! Finally it has arrived after our long plannings and hard work that contributed to a successful haunted house. There were hiccups here and there. A little sad for some point of time. Well. Let’s start this is a orderly manner shall we ?

At the start of the day, helped Jeannette to make the .. What’s that called ? -.- The SIGNBOARD ! Yeah. Then tried to help Jennifer, Belinda, Jeannette and Sungha(not sure if the spelling is right) make up. Jennifer was really scary. She’s CRAZY. Nominated the best ghost ever. For those who didn’t went it, shall tell you why in a couple of minutes.

Make up for ghosts. It’s quite easy. Three simple stuff that we need and we’re done. Powder, eyeliner and red lipstick.

After that, they started the sale and Chen Hong was our first customer ! He wanted to drag someone in too then I said ” why not one person ? isn’t it more scary like this ? ” He was all for it answering me “Bring it on !”

Then, I went to record for talentime finals ! Before that were a few performances . First up was Ibrahim and Humairah . Shocked. He sing not bad. He kept asking me if his singing was okay. LOL. . Then it was Jasmine’s turn ~ She was really nervous but it was great (:

Talentime performance ! Only manage to take them because my phone no memory ): But it’s really nice ! Was sad that I couldn’t record WeiQin and TzeQin’s performance. Was fascinated by Lynnette’s performance. First time I hear her sing and it’s wow. LOL . Quite surprised and I think they won first. But it’s based on votes. Was quite sad that WeiQin and TzeQin didn’t get first place but I think it’s because Lynnette’s group had no hiccups at all. In the middle, they also went a little off tune while Lynnette’s one was okay. But the feeling was a little too mono, without any climax or anything. But it was a great performance. Enjoyed all of it. Was actually quite glad that I got to record the performance ! (:

Went back to do my shift. Did some weird makeup which didn’t matter at all because it was pitch black inside. When I just went in, I was banging against all the tables then everyone was like “ehh the ghost banging” . LOL . A bit lame -_- Oh well. But I can’t see x.x Had to sit for really long till my eyes got accustomed to the darkness. It was quite sad actually because the people really can’t see a thing so the make up and stuff were wasted.

The third room was a little slacky . Mostly due to the lack of light and also, the first room was too scary. They made all the small kids cry. I think the only kid that didn’t cry was Mr Ho’s but it was obvious that he was frightened because he kept shouting “DON’T THINK YOU CAN SCARE ME. GO AWAY” . So funny. We were laughing like crazy.

We were also quite disappointed by those who came in just to show that they won’t scared. I mean what’s the point? But there were also many that were really scared and they just showed their emotions. I loved the group that has a guy at the front and all girls behind. A little bias :X ‘Cause the guy is cute . LOL . He didn’t act like he wasn’t scared and all. Didn’t put up a front like those in front . Those that pretend they won’t scared, we didn’t really bother to scare them . I mean there’s no point. For this group, it was really funny. I mean we could see that he was scared. YangJie double combo him . As in he scared him twice in a row . Because there was this linkway that was connected by the cupboard. 

YangJie was hiding in it. When the guy walked passed, YangJie flashed his torch and the girls behind screamed and he turned behind and saw YangJie. He said “SIA-LA” really loudly and got dragged back by the guys behind. So he walked through that way again and YangJie flashed his torch again and he got scared again. He was screaming. So cute :X LOL . After a few seconds, it was my turn to scare him . Again, he shouted. It was really funny ! Cute cute ~ Whee ~

I was really mad at some people ! They went to pour candle wax on my friend’s hand . It’s like ?! Can’t believe some people can be so inconsiderate and rude. Hey ? We don’t collect money for you to hurt us. By doing this, it just showed us how childish you are to not even consider about other people’s feelings. Please, spare a thought for others ! 

The other class was better than expected. Everyone was really fun. We all had the same goal which was to scare the hell out of everyone who paid. Even Mdm Koh came in and we kind of took “revenge” . We were joking that she would come and lecture the ghosts . LOL . The teachers that accompanied her were really scared too . Success ! Thanks for patronizing yeah ! It’s great that she’s such a good sport. Even the dunking machine thing was awesome. I think the dunking machine earned a lot because they would only dunk Mdm Koh when 1000 bucks is raised. And around 2pm they dunked her. So I think they earned quite a lot.

Thanks ChiWei and Derek for coming in ! They were like shouting Eng Hwee where are you through the journey inside. So hilarious In the end I went to stand beside ChiWei and kept whispering her name. Then she replied saying that she can’t see at all and I adviced her to drink more carrot juice . LOL . So funny . Derek as well, couldn’t see anything at all. Thanks SyehYin, YuanXi and Cs for coming. Sorry that I couldn’t go out and find you guys because once we get out of the room, we would waste a lot of time to let our eyes get used to the darkness. So it’s a little troublesome . But I did meet Derek and ChiWei. Sorry WenJia for making you keep coming and calling me out xDD

Was angry in near the end of the day because so many people were missing ! In the end the first room only had YanShan(not sure of spelling) and Jolene ! Which was really pathetic ! At first it was 5 ! And the point was, YanShan wasn’t EVEN part of the both classes and he put in so much effort and where were the people that were supposed to be on shift ? It was disappointing to see this side of our classmates. And some people didn’t even have their lunch at all . One of them was me . I didn’t complain because I wasn’t really hungry but spare a thought for others who really want to grab a bite please .

Overall, we had a great time . Sad that we had to shut the haunted house due to the heavy rain which destroyed our linkway. We earned a total of $1625 ! We could have earned more if we didn’t delay the opening time and the maintainence time but it was a success eventually . Great job guys ! Haunted house really do appeal huh ? (: A great experience I won’t ever forget .
